BROMBAL HISTORY: HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
The owner Pietro Brombal has devoted his entire life to building metal windows and doors, working as a metal craftsman from the age of 14. Living in Italy, he realized that Venice’s early buildings required a complex yet extraordinary steel and bronze fenestration solution worthy of such renowned architecture. By 1970, Pietro opened his own shop to create an improved luxury fenestration product; today known as Brombal. Located in Altivole, the shop’s original site remains the company’s headquarters today. GLOBAL EXPANSION
The Brombal family followed Pietro’s footsteps by working without boundaries to design and build exquisite openings. Sons Leonardo and Pierpaolo play integral roles as the production manager and sales manager. In 2011, partners were added to oversee the North American market under Brombal USA; Domenick Siano, William Polinsky, and David Behan became partners. In 2016, partners Gherardo Gambaro and Jon Begg joined the company under Brombal Oceania, overseeing sales in Australia and New Zealand.

The Apprenticeship
4 April 1959
At the age of 14, Pietro Brombal begins his apprenticeship as a metal craftsman.
Establishment of Pietro’s first metal shop, founded in 1970
9 September 1970
Pietro Brombal establishes a metal fabrication shop in Altivole, Italy, specializing in custom window and door frames.
Brombal Serramenti opens
16 December 1975
Pietro Brombal opens his own workshop in Altivole, Italy, proudly named “Serramenti Brombal”.
Young sons with a big future
4 September 1979
Pietro’s sons Leonardo and Pierpaolo are taught the steel business at an early age by their father.
Strategic partnership with Secco
9 May 1995
Pietro Brombal invests in Secco Sistemi Spa and becomes a partner and member on the board of directors.
Brombal sons join the family business
10 September 2002
Pietro’s sons join the family business; today Leonardo oversees manufacturing and Pierpaolo manages sales and marketing.
First project in the U.S.
22 April 2004
Brombal’s first thermally broken project sells in the US market in Napa Valley, CA.
Completion of Brombal’s biggest project: 5 Star Molino Stucky
14 June 2005
Brombal completes its largest project to date with over 2,000 windows and doors in the hotel restoration, in Venice Italy.

Brombal expands operations into a new state of the art facility in Altivole, Italy.

Brombal USA founded with partners Domenick Siano & William Polinsky to serve the North American market.

Assembly in the expanded manufacturing plant significantly increases Brombal’s production capacity.

The start of Brombal’s collaboration with Black Water Laboratory for mechanical and thermal tests & US impact rated certifications for windows and doors.

The new Glass Inspector comes into operation, to intercept and identify every minimum flaw.

Brombal UK founded to provide better service to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
New Factory Glazing
6 June 2020
The new system’s aim is to ensure the perfect installation of glass in windows. The machine is adaptable to the size of the window in order to make the most of spaces and after the installation of the glass, Brombal collaborators check to see that every single window functions properly thus guaranteeing maximum quality.

A new machine to create varnishes was introduced in the painting zone. Besides the creation of paints perfectly dosed in their components, it allows the internal management of the colour, thus being able to coordinate production scheduling as well as tones and shades.
